Crawford Named PIFL Offensive Rookie of Year

KNOXVILLE, TN (July 6, 2012) – The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) are proud to announce Columbus Lions WR London Crawford and Knoxville Nighthawks DB Ginikachi Ibe as the 2012 Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year respectively.

Columbus WR London Crawford (6’2 205, Arkansas) has been named the 2012 PIFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after being the lone pass-catcher to cross the century mark leading all receivers with 103 receptions.  Crawford had four games in which he had double-digits in receptions, the most by any receiver in the PIFL.  He was also only one of three receivers in the league top 1,000 receiving yards (1,044) landing him a spot on the All-PIFL 1st Team.

Knoxville Nighthawks DB Ginikachi Ibe (5’9 181, McPherson College) has been named the 2012 PIFL Defensive Rookie of the Year after finishing with ten interceptions, tops in the PIFL.  Along with being the lone member of the expansion Nighthawks on the All-PIFL 1st Team, Ibe posted a league-high three games with two or more interceptions concluding his rookie campaign second on the team in tackles (40).
