After concluding their first season in the PIFL ending with a sixth consecutive trip to the playoffs, over the weekend Coach Jason Gibson inked a deal ensuring he will return to the Lions for a seventh season.

With a combined 60-26 career regular-season and post-season record, three division titles and a SIFL 2010 Championship, Gibson returns to a Columbus team that finished the 2012 PIFL season number one in both passing offense (269 yards/game) and total offense (280 yards/game).

The Calvert, MD native and former Fairmont State University, WV receiver played in the CFL, AFL, NFL Europe and arenafootball2 from 2000-04 and coached and taught in Maryland and North Carolina high schools for eight years.  Over the last six years, Coach Gibson and Lions staff have produced nine “Players of the Year” including two in 2012 with WR Maurice Dupree (Offensive Player of the Year) and WR London Crawford (Rookie Offensive Player of the Year).
