COLUMBUS, GA (September 19, 2012) – The Columbus Lions of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) are proud to announce the re-signing of wide receivers Maurice Dupree and London Crawford for the 2013 seasons.

When he first signed with the Lions in 2011, Maurice Dupree (5’10 190, Jacksonville St.) proved to be a dynamic scoring threat hauling in three touchdown receptions in his indoor debut.  After a brief hiatus in middle of 2011, Dupree returned to Columbus in 2012 and earned the PIFL Offensive Player of the Year Award leading the league in scoring (242), touchdown receptions (40), and receiving yards (1278).

He also had multiple touchdown trips in all 12 regular season games and in half of those games he had four or more sprees to the end-zone.  Eight of his 40 touchdowns grabs came from 30 yards out or further, most of any receiver in the PIFL and was also the lone offensive player to have been selected unanimously to the PIFL’s All-1st Team.

WR London Crawford (6’2 205, Arkansas) re-signs with the Lions after being the lone pass-catcher in the PIFL to cross the century mark in receptions (103).  Crawford had four games with double-digits in receptions, the most by any receiver in the PIFL.  He was also only one of three receivers in the league to top 1,000 receiving yards (1,044) landing him a spot on the All-PIFL 1st Team.
