3 COLUMBUS LIONS NAMED TO ALL-NAL DEFENSIVE SQUAD

Today, the National Arena League released the first-ever All-NAL Defensive roster, ahead of Monday night’s championship game between the Columbus Lions and the Jacksonville Sharks. #9 Kyle Griswould was named 1st team All-NAL at defensive back. Griswould leads the league in interceptions with 10, including 4 taken in for a TD, which is also the most in the NAL.

The Lions linebacker duo of #12 Marte Sears and #24 Larry Edwards were named to the 2nd team. Sears is 2nd in the league in tackles with 25.5. Edwards is tied for 3rd in the league for fumble recoveries, with 6. Notably absent from the roster is #44 Logan Ingle, named NAL Defensive Player of the Week 3 times this season. Ingle also leads the league in sacks.

Jacksonville leads the league in players named All-NAL with 12 total.
