The Columbus Lions (2-1) return home this week after a tough loss last Sunday night. The Lions will look to defend
the “Jungle” once again, this time fending off the visiting Carolina Cobras (4-1). The “Jungle” has been kind to the
Lions as they only have one loss at home since they joined the NAL back in 2017. Coaches and players credit their
success at home to the rowdy fans and the great atmosphere that they create. Arena football offers a great atmosphere for fans and players and the Lions have created one of the best in the league. The Cobras are coming in hot after dismantling the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (0-4) last week 65-3. The Cobras sit at the top of the NAL standings and will look to extend their four-game winning streak on Saturday. Columbus comes into this week after a hard-fought loss on the road against Massachusetts Pirates. A loss in the last seconds on the road, has the Lions hungry for a win as they travel back home The Lions will try to rebound with an explosive offensive attack and a ferocious defensive effort.
The Lions have their work cut out for them in what will be a heated contest between these two top teams. It might still be early in the season, but this game could decide who gets a shot at the title at the end of the season.
Columbus prides itself on being a tough, physical football team and will need all the effort it can get in what should be a great game in the “Jungle” on Saturday night.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm Saturday night.
