Rivertown Banner.png The Columbus Lions and Rivertown Buick GMC are excited to announce on opening game April 19th vs. the Jacksonville Sharks, one luck fan will have a chance to WIN a brand new truck from Rivertown Buick GMC. During halftime on April 19th, a random fan will be choosen to punt an arena football 35 yds into the back of the truck. If the ball stays in the bed, you WIN! Contestants must register to win below, at the fan center the day of the game, or at Rivertown Buick GMC. You must be present with a game ticket. See rules and regulations below.

 

A. BEFORE PROMOTION
1. Promotion contestants must be selected as follows: One (1) registration form shall be randomly drawn from all registration forms filled out online or at the car dealership and drawn at the game listed above. The name on the registration form shall be announced as the insured grand prize contestant. If the contestant does not wish to participate or is otherwise disqualified, another registration form shall be randomly drawn, and the process repeated. Contestant may not be chosen more than two (2) hours prior to the start of the prize promotion. The individual(s) selected CANNOT choose another person to participate on his/her behalf. No one contestant may be selected to participate on more than one occasion.
2. The following classes of people shall be INELIGIBLE to participate:
a. Current or former professional or semi-professional football, soccer, and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world.
b. Current or former collegiate or junior collegiate football, soccer, and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five (5) years.
c. Current or former high school football, soccer, and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five (5) years.
d. Current or former Olympic soccer and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five (5) years.
e. Any person actively participating in the sporting event/tournament associated with this promotion.
f. Current or former employees, family members, agents, successors, or assignees of the client or any promotional agency involved with this promotion.
3. Contestants shall not be permitted any practice, warm-up, or qualifying kicks or punts, at any time after his/her notification of participation in the promotion until the actual prize attempt(s).
4. IMPORTANT: Client agrees to secure signatures, UPON NOTIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION, on the “CONTESTANT AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE” form for each and every contestant and provide said forms to OOP with proof of claim.

B. DURING PROMOTION
1. One client representative must supervise the event and is responsible for the contestants understanding of the terms and conditions of this promotion.
2. Contestants shall not be permitted any practice, warm-up, or qualifying kicks or punts, at any time prior to the actual prize attempt(s).
3. In order to qualify for prize reimbursement, an eligible contestant must successfully kick or punt a regulation High School, NCAA, NFL, or Arena football, FROM A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF THIRTY-FIVE (35) YARDS, ON THE FLY, AND MAKE IT COME TO REST WITHOUT BOUNCING OUT, INTO THE BED OF A STANDARD SIZED (OR SMALLER) PICK-UP TRUCK.
4. It is imperative that the TRUCK BE PLACED SIDEWAYS, so that the bed faces the kicker lengthwise, which removes the opportunity of the cab acting as a backstop.
5. The bed of the pick-up truck must be empty prior to each kick. Nothing may be inserted to deaden the bounce of the ball.
6. No part of the contestant's body or clothing may come in contact with the demarcation lines/spots prior to kicking or punting the ball. Any such contact shall constitute a foul and the attempt shall be considered missed.
7. IMPORTANT: CLIENT MUST VIDEOTAPE THE ENTIRE PROMOTION ACTIVITY. It is imperative that the individual operating the video camera films:
a. The entire random selection process of contestants prior to each game.
b. Each contestant’s body position in relationship to the various demarcation lines/spots prior to each kick or punt.
c. Each contestant’s kick or punt as well as the football coming to rest within the bed of the truck.
8. Client must assure that the video camera is properly functioning; failure to conform to this requirement can cause claim to be denied.
9. The eligibility of each kick or punt is subject to the NCAA and/or NFL rules of football.
