Here is an incredible opportunity to join the executive staff of the Columbus Lions, proud members of the National Arena League and playing home games at the Columbus Civic Center along with road games across America.
The Lions are looking to immediately grow their family-like team of front office executives in preparation for the 2023 season, kicking off in March…and for seasons to come. This full-time, year-round position will include professional training and reasonable onboarding to prepare you for the next step (or first step) in your pro sports career! 1. The PARTNERSHIP EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR will be responsible for duties including to the following:
- Serve as a liaison between the team and its highly valued group of corporate partners to build and strengthen these relationships.
- Planning and executing methods to show appreciation to team partners through gifts and events.
- With great attention to detail, successfully activate/fulfill all partnership agreements by creating ad elements online and at each home games. These elements include items such as signage, print ads, videoboard spots, on-field promotions, and more.
- Accurately plan, create, and present to corporate partners, a proof of performance presentation at the conclusion of each season.
- Let your creative personality shine through as you serve as the team’s “Roving Mic” (in-house MC) during home games.
- Being a daily and year-round contributor to the team’s sales efforts in growing the Lions season ticket base, group ticket attendees and earning new relationships with corporate partners.
- Work full-time (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM) year-round in the team’s professional offices in Columbus. Additional events such as home games, public appearances and more will also be required.
The position offers the following:
- Training and experience in the inner workings of operating a professional sports team.
- Resume building opportunity that may lead to advancements in the pro sports industry at higher levels.
- A fair salary and aggressive commission will be offered.

2. The DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT will be responsible for duties including to the following:
- Creating an aggressive sales plan to be executed by all members of the team.
- Assisting the General Manager in the daily operations of the team.
- Hiring and managing a small staff of office interns and/or part-time assistant employees.
- Organizing the business’ sales systems, training, and organizing sales data and the CRM.
- Being a daily and year-round contributor to the team’s sales efforts in growing the Tropics season ticket base, group ticket attendees and earning new relationships with corporate partners.
- Work full-time (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM) year-round in the team’s professional offices in Columbus. Additional events such as home games, public appearances and more will also be required.
The position offers the following:

3. The DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS will be responsible for duties including to the following:
- Designing the presentation of the Game Day experience. This includes creating and utilizing the Lions cheerleading squad, mascot, public address announcer and other game day staff.
- Planning and executing all in game promotional elements.
- Hiring and managing a small staff of office interns and/or part-time assistant employees.
- Planning public events for the team to keep the Lions relevant and contributing to the community.
- Plan and execute an advertising campaign to maximize awareness for the team/home games.
- Being a daily and year-round contributor to the team’s sales efforts in growing the Lions season ticket base, group ticket attendees and earning new relationships with corporate partners.
- Work full-time (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM) year-round in the team’s professional offices in Columbus. Additional events such as home games, public appearances and more will also be required.
