Columbus Lions Look to Maintain Dominance in Crossover Game Versus Southern Steam

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Lions are gearing up for a crossover game versus the Southern Steam of the Elite Indoor Football League after a midweek change of schedule due to logistical mishaps. Originally scheduled to play the AIFA's Capital City Cyclones, the Lions are now set to face the Southern Steam in what promises to be a thrilling matchup.

Coach Chris McKinney has emphasized that the team remains focused on maintaining their dominance, despite having to adjust their game plan to face an unfamiliar opponent. "We don't make the schedule, but our job is to beat whoever shows up and play a complete game in all phases," said McKinney.

The Southern Steam enters the game as the number 2 team in the EIFL, having had a great year so far. The Lions, on the other hand, have been electrifying, averaging a staggering 68 points per game in their first two fixtures. Their defense has been just as impressive, seizing opportunities at every turn.

The game is set to take place on Friday June 2nd in the Lions Den at the Columbus Civic Center. Kickoff is at 7 pm. The fans can expect a thrilling matchup between two formidable teams, and the Lions will be looking to come out on top once again.
