by Jason Gibson

The Columbus Lions are proud to introduce new minority owner Kacee Smith. Kacee Smith is a life-long resident of Calhoun, Georgia, a 2005 graduate of Gordon Central High School, and earned a Marketing Management degree from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. With the goal of combining his passion for football and community, Smith then founded the Georgia Rampage, a professional indoor football team, where he served as president and general manager. He later also served as president of the X-League Professional Indoor Football League. Smith’s passion for developing, nurturing, and expanding relationships has since led him to the insurance industry, where he enjoys meeting new people, understanding their needs, and the opportunity to educate on the importance of not only being insured, but being insured properly. Currently he owns a Brightway Insurance franchise, The Kacee Smith Agency. He serves as the Sales Director for Owen Security in Calhoun, GA.

"I am very excited to be a part of the Columbus Lions football team, a solid organization that has been successful for over 14 years. I have always been a fan and the Columbus Lions had a huge impact on the beginning of my football career. I hope now that my years of arena football, sales, and marketing experience can be an asset for the team and help me give back to the organization. I am looking forward to making memories with my family and the Lions organization." added Smith

“Kacee brings a wealth of arena football knowledge and sales experience to the Lions organization. I can’t wait to start working with him.” Commented Head Coach Jason Gibson.

Smith is also the elected official for Post 5 of the Gordon County Board of Education and an active participant in many local benefits and fundraising events. He is supported by his wife, Belinda, and two children, Kacedon and Kacelee.
