Lions Announce Roger Beck as New Majority Owner

Beck Ready to Lead the Lions into the Future

COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus Lions officially introduced the team’s new Majority Owner Roger Beck, a Columbus, GA native and successful Georgia business owner who passion for football has well recognized in our local region. Beck, a notable supporter of local high school football, looks to steer the direction of the Columbus Lions professional arena football team beginning today as he spoke to the media the Lions press conference at the Columbus Civic Center the proud longstanding home of the Columbus Lions arena football team. During today’s press conference the organization announced this change as one of my changes the organization has made over the year to stabilize the franchise for local success on and off the field. Roger Beck was born and raised in the Columbus, Georgia and has a strong passion for football & building football teams to be committed to excellence so they can be the best they can be on and off the field to make the city of Columbus and the state of Georgia Proud. "We want the Lions to be the franchise that everyone in arena football looks at as THE STANDARD." Beck's commented today at the Lions press conference.

Beck has a successful track record of running local businesses in the Columbus area and has been a reliable partner for those businesses making this dynamic a perfect fit for the Lions Ownership group who attended today’s press conference. Last season, the Columbus Lions finished in the National Arena League playoff round where the fell to the Beaumont Renegades who advanced to become the 2025 NAL Champions, the previous season the Lions dominated the AIF finishing undefeated in 2024 after beating the Corpus Christi Trions 46-20 in the AIF Championship.
