Lions Land Coach Pierre Coffey as Offensive Coordinator

State Champion Looks to Contribute to Columbus Arena Football
COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus Lions are excited to announce the addition of Pierre Coffey to the organization’s coaching staff, where he will serve as the team’s Offensive Coordinator, contributing to championship leadership and deep community ties to the professional indoor football organization.
Coffey most recently served as head football coach at George Washington Carver High School in Columbus, where he led the Tigers to a Georgia Class 2A state championship on December 17, 2024, marking the second state title in the school’s history. His leadership capped a highly successful tenure defined by discipline, player development, and a championship culture.
During his three seasons as head coach at Carver, Coffey’s teams consistently competed at a high level while emphasizing character, accountability, and excellence both on and off the field. Known for his offensive insight and ability to develop quarterbacks and skill-position players, Coffey now transitions to the professional ranks to lead the Lions’ offensive unit.

In addition to his role with the Lions, Coffey will continue to serve as principal in Stewart County, maintaining his commitment to education and leadership while contributing his experience and expertise to the Lions organization.
