LIONS SPONSOR EAST ALABAMA CHAMBER GOLF FRIDAY

by Jason Gibson

PHENIX CITY, AL, SEPT. 29, 2020 -- The Columbus Lions emerge from six months of dormant operations and public view this Friday, October 2, as we sponsor Lakewood Hole #4 at the annual East Alabama Chamber of Commerce membership golf tournament.
You could say it’s “Fore! On Number 4”, as Lions staff will meet and socialize with close to thirty foursomes in 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun starts. Golfers and drop-in guests alike may register for drawings of an official Lions National Arena League game football and a refurbished, game-worn Lions helmet.
East Alabama Chamber President and CEO Dennis Beson has a terrific relationship with the Lions, who have been Chamber members for their entire 15-year history and have had a regular presence at this event. Lions personnel will present 2021 ticket pricing, augmenting the hundreds of season ticketholders who will receive next season what was paid for before the pandemic ultimately cost the team its entire 2020 NAL season.
The Lions begin their 2021 National Arena League season next April at the Columbus Civic Center. The official schedule will be released in early October. Opposing teams include the defending (2019) champion Jacksonville Sharks, Orlando Predators, Carolina Cobras, Jersey Flight, and expansion Tampa Bay Tornadoes, Louisville Xtreme and Albany, NY.
