Lions Top Rouxgaroux 40-20 Behind Espinoza's Five TDs

The Columbus Lions cruised to a 40-20 win over the Shreveport Rouxgaroux Saturday night, led by quarterback Vincent Espinoza’s five-touchdown outing. Espinoza threw for 119 yards and found receiver Tremell Gooden for all five scores, with Gooden finishing with 77 yards on five catches.

Columbus' defense dominated, forcing two interceptions and racking up 4 sacks. Mykell Yancie led the charge with 2.5 sacks, while Tyler Clark added a safety.

Shreveport’s D’Nerius Antoine rushed for two touchdowns, but the Rouxgaroux passing game struggled. QB Joshua Hollins threw for just 78 yards and was sacked three times.

Kicker Jahoiyakim Afoa went 4-for-4 on PATs as Columbus improved its standing in the NAL’s American Division.
