Lions Welcome Experienced Newcomer to Ownership Group

by Lee Snow

The Columbus Lions welcome the addition of Richard Maslia of Atlanta, GA,
to the arena football team's ownership group.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Maslia has more than 30 years’ experience as a real estate investor, and is excited to bring his leadership experience to the Columbus Lions franchise.

With a passion for sports, Maslia brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the success of the Lions. Prior to his acquisition of ownership shares in the Columbus Lions, Maslia showcased his dedication to the arena football scene as part owner of two teams, the Carolina Cobras and the Maine Mammoths.

When he's not immersed in the world of sports or real estate, Maslia enjoys a fulfilling personal life. He resides in Atlanta alongside his wife, Monica, his two children and two bonus children, who range in age from 14 to 25. He also spends quality time with his four-year-old Great Dane.

About his addition to the Lions family, Richard stated "We're excited about the opportunity with the Lions and look forward to working with the other owners and our fans to take the history and legacy of arena football in Columbus into the future."

Maslia values the importance of family and community, and believes in creating an environment where players, staff, and fans alike can feel a sense of unity and belonging.

Roar Lions!!
