Romond Deloatch earns Allstate Catch of the Week

by Alex Husting

Romond Deloatch has earned the Allstate Catch of the Week for his spectacular touchdown grab early in the second quarter against the Sharks. With just over nine minutes to go in the second quarter, Mason Espinosa put the ball where only Deloatch could get it and the 6’4” receiver went up and made the grab, falling over the wall and into the Sharks’ bench area in the process.

The touchdown grab from Deloatch put the Lions ahead 27-14 early in the second and it was his second touchdown of the night for Deloatch. He finished the contest with six catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns while the Lions won 67-35.
This was Deloatch’s third game this season with two or more touchdowns and he has had at least one touchdown grab in every game this season, bringing his season total to 11, which leads the team.

Deloatch will be looking to continue his touchdown streak and the Lions’ winning streak when the 5-1 Albany Empire come to the Columbus Civic Center to battle for first place in the NAL.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m EST and tickets are on sale here. The game can be watched live with CTV Beam, at or on the NAL’s official Youtube channel
